Max's comment was talking about the handle bars, but If I read your question right, you were talking about the "grips," right?
If so, it's pretty easy:
The left one is probably glued on, so you'll probably destroy it entirely (or the rubber on it which is pretty much the same). The procedure is to pull-twist-pry-cut it off. The right one is just held on by the housing at its inner egde. take off the bolts on the housing, seperate the halves, and the grip will slide off. The end cap might be glued, but mine is just held in place by friction and I've had it off before.
Just remember to buy new ones before you start working, or you'll wind up having to ride down to the bike shop holding just the bar in your left hand!!!!
